Yellow Alert !

Finally I am having my resting day after nearly 5 days of work... Today the weather is extremely good. As I am very tired the pass few days, I slept till 1pm then woke up.

Belle and I didn’t sleep for more than 24 hours after our Sunday night shift. She came over to my house to bath before we go for coffee at Old Town at East Coast, as it a bit too early for our hair treatment and cut. We reach Marina Square at about 11am, by the time we finish our treatment and hair, it about 2pm. We head down to Suntec to look for our working shoes. Damn, always doesn’t have our size, plus it quite uncomfortable to me when I wear it. Thus, we decided not to buy it but look for better and cheaper ones. By then we are so hungry and craving for Ikea’s chicken wings and salmon, we decided to drive down to eat. When we finish eating it about 5pm and its time for me to fetch my sister home from work so we decided to called it a day. When I reach home, it already 7 plus, I took my dinner and head to bed. It is because I having another day shift the next day. While driving belle home, I almost fell asleep but luckily I didn’t.

Yesterday after my morning shift, on my way home I received a called from my hospital stating that I am on standby for the swine flu and it has be raise to yellow alert.

Oh my god! Yellow alert means that front liners have to don up PPE and wear N95 mask. I am quite worried as I only have 1 fitted mask size because of my pretty face with high cheek bone; I am unable to fit in N95 except for dragger masks. The worse is not here yet, since yesterday I heard that all staff in ICU and CE has to don up gowns too… It is so hot when wearing gown and I saw a lot of PAPR being standby in our ward for the pandemic outbreak.

What is worse is that through my colleague, I heard that I am being selected to standby in CDC in case of outbreak. Oh no… (But it’s a great experience.)

Hopefully it doesn’t get out of control and the alert doesn’t rise further. If it goes to orange alert then I think all the healthcare workers got to get isolated by publics again.

PS: Let’s be prepared mentally and get ready for the war! Kill all Swine! Onk... Onk…

Pay Day !

Today the weather is super nice, windy and cooling. I woke up at 1330hrs and had my lunch before I head back to bed for a nap before I go to work. It also our pay day! I also managed to settle all my debts today and I feel great.

The past 2 day I have been busy working day shift. In the ward was freaking busy! I wonder who’s the jinx that didn’t bath before he/she comes to work. Thanks god that there is teamwork in our department. Really appreciated our colleagues helps, it really makes a big difference with who you work with.

I was really very unluckily, as I have just sent my case out in the afternoon and I have to receive a case that is seriously ill at 6pm (An hour before I knock off from work). !@#$%^&*
I think we did a good job as we resuscitate and settles the patient within about 1 and a half hour. Normally resuscitation could takes up quite a while for us to settle the patient. I also went back home late, as I haven’t finish my report.

Then my second morning shift also damn unluckily, course I had to send my patient down within 10 minutes for an urgent CT scan, after the neurologist came to see my patient ordered to send patient down now. (Urgent mean NOW!). Thanks god I have a code nurse who is an efficient worker, plus me… We manage to get everything done and sent the patient down to the scan room within 10 minutes. I am very proud of myself and the code nurse.

As I am on night shift today; hopefully it will be a peaceful night for me. If not I think by tomorrow I will faint in the ward of exhaustion, as I have another night shift to go. I need motivation!!!!

Last day of my leave.

Today the weather was super humid and hot. Shin Yee, Kuan Yong and me suppose to meet up for a steamboat dinner but as our princess – Shin Yee is extremely sick, thus we decided to cancel it. It was suppose to be a dinner before Kuan Yong enlisted for his National Services. Kuan Yong, please take care, sorry to cause your phone to fell in the toliet bowl when i called you yesterday.

With no program on hands, I decided to have a nap in the afternoon to replenish my sleepless nights for the past few days, before I go back to work tomorrow.

I slept at 0130hrs yesterday and woke up at about 1200, then I have my lunch and we headed back to bed about 4 plus. I woke up at about 1900hrs for my dinner and now I am blogging after watching the HK series of Snooker King.

I am just wondering who I will be assigned to when I go back to work tomorrow. Would I be doing housekeeping, as the total is quite low recently due to no “Business”.

I always wondered what the doctors’ initial principles were when they become doctors. Is it because of money, status or …. Doesn’t their initial principles to save people? A lot of times, human being tends to overlook what are their initial goals and principles. Money tends to make them loss their mind. Maybe we should constantly remind one another what’s our initial goals and principles are in ordered not be out of the right track.

Well, just some emo feeling that I having recently. Ok, i shall go shower now to prepare myself for dreamland, as I got to wake up 5am to catch the 0530hrs bus to go work.

Redang Trip ~ 4/4/09 - 7/4/09

This is the first outing trip that Wei Siang aka 大便, Annabelle aka Piggy, Rachel aka Rhino and me – Jasmine of course aka Dino.

This trip was an unforgettable and fruitful one. Here are some of the pictures that we manage to take from Belle and Rachel’s camera, as our 少爷 aka 大便 haven’t sent us his picture.

I gave up after spending hours trying to upload the picture and organise it on this stupid blog. If anyone wanna to see the pictures can go to my facebook to have a look.

Before we depart for our 10 hours bus ride to the Jetty. Our Five star luxury bus with personnal entertainment only after the first stopover....

The last second day of my leave...

Today was a very fine day. Morning was raining cats and dogs and afternoon was not as hot and humid as previous days.

I met up with Pik Sun at City Hall to pass her my photocopy passport, IC and photos for the registration for Diving course.

Before that, I went to immigration building at Lavender to have my photos taken which cost me 4 pictures for $5.35. (Taking photo nowadays also got GST - $0.35.) I wasn’t very happy with the outcome of the photos, thus I decided to have it re-taken at City Hall, if I can manage to find a photo shop. Well, I managed to found one but very expensive, 4 pictures for $8.10, but the outcome was worth it. It is because they actually edited the photos. (I am having some pimples due to post-menstruation). Thus I decided to use the pictures taken in City hall for my registration of Open Water Dive course.

After which, Pik Sun and I went to Canele for some sinful dessert. We ordered 2 slice of cake, 3 layer chocolate and cake that taste like chocolate soufflé, and also Lychee ice-cream. We love the Lychee ice-cream the most. I also manage to buy a sunglass with white frame that I like it a lot, which cost me about $29. (Going out always got to spend money, thus I don’t like to go out so often nowadays. I can’t resist the temptation of buying things.)

After meeting with Pik, I went to Bugis to meet up with Belle and Rachel, aka Piggy and Rhino. (Suppose to meet them at 3pm as Belle want to check out the price for Nokia E71 but I met them only at about 4pm). We went to Erabelle for eyebrow trimming sessions, again spent money. We sign up a package of 13 sessions, shared among the 3 of us. Thus each person pays about $70. (Well, have to pamper myself right…).We went for dinner after which, before they went for their lesson.
Hai ~ pay day coming soon but my reserves are also drying soon.

I really need to SAVE! SAVE! SAVE! Instead of SAFE!

Congrats to you Mr Heng.M.H

I have been lazing around for the pass one week as I am on leave. Today I happened to surf the web and saw my secondary school mate girlfriend’s blog. Actually he is my 初恋情人. From the blog I get to know that he is engaged with his girlfriend in which I am quite happy for him.
After so many years of not contacting each other, it’s really great to know how well he is doing currently.

We ended our relationship in a very… (I not sure, how to describe it). I couldn’t really remember did we actually say break up or not… anyway, we have ended it. I always felt guilt towards him as I didn’t treat him nicely. I felt that I haven’t been a good girlfriend to him when we were together. He was a nice guy, really a nice person, can say a good bf and husband.
I still remembered that he sent me a message through Friendster telling me that he wasn’t angry with me at all, as past is a past. I always wanted to tell him in face that I am sincerely sorry for what I have done for him during the 3 years when we were together.
Now knowing that he has a pretty partner, I sincerely wishes that both of them 永远恩恩爱爱，长长久久.

If I had a chance in future, I really wish to see him in person to say “Meng Hwee, I am very sorry!”
